REPORTS TO: Sous Chef 

Provide high quality sanitation of soiled items while assisting with assigned duties in various departments. Keep service area clean.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and flatware in timely matter.
  • Unloading and storing F&B deliveries
  • Maintaining cleanliness of floors, walls, ceiling, and all equipment within kitchen
  • Maintaining cleanliness of basement storage
  • Remove trash and recycling as needed – clean receptacles
  • Maintain safe and sanitized work area
  • Assist kitchen staff as needed

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Demands

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Minimum one (1) year high volume kitchen experience.
  • Must be capable of following directions.
  • Must possess good recall and memory.
  • Must understand English.
  • Must have knowledge of kitchen equipment and good knife skills.
  • Must be able to work late nights, weekends and Holidays (Schedule may vary)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Constantly walking, standing, hearing, seeing and talking
  • Frequently smelling, tasting, eye/hand coordination and handling.
  • Occasionally balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, holding, wrist motion, reading and stooping.
  • Occasionally pushing and pulling up to a maximum of 1,200 lb.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to a maximum of 55 lb., alone.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
  • Close spaces while working with others.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Stand on tile/mats.
  • HAZARDS: Knives, Mechanical Kitchen Equipment.
  • Temperature may vary – High Heat/ Cold Air

Base Salary
$16.00 Per hour
Working Hours
Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours. Must be able to work Holidays, Weekends and late nights.
